This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

Sheri sees change in the wind again. This time more with herself, then the constant change with Bob and "Al". Daughter number 2 (the one that shields her heart with her sleeve) will be leaving soon for California, to prepare for the return home of her very new husband. from deployment. She is so happy for her to start her new life, but Sheri will miss her greatly.
Then when Sheri got home from work yesterday, there was a card in the door from the county Land Acquisitions office, stating that she needed to contact them right away because this tiny house Sheri rented ( when they lost theirs to what Sheri calls Alzheimer Foreclosure) is affected by a major expansion project. Eek.  Change so hard for Bob... and Sheri .
Sheri thinks she needs to pause, praise and pray.

  2. I'm praying, too, Sheri. It sounds trite to say, but I've found it true...."If God brings you TO it, He'll take you THROUGH it."
