This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

After exhausting herself in search of a new place to live, Sheri has been blessed with a bit of good news. The county is not taking the whole house as she originally though, just a huge chunk of the front yard . The side walk and the road will come closer to her front door but she is feeling like she is just going to have to deal with it. She can not find a place that works on her budget and meets the needs of  Bob and "Al". The work will start in the Spring and maybe it won't be that bad. Who knows with in a year a lot may change with "Al" and Sheri may be looking for a totally different type of living space. At least for the moment she is going to try and stick it out, she has been so stressed over it, she just can't seem to pull a move off right now.
(Thank you cyber friends for worrying with me :)

  1. What a blessing to be able to stay in your home! Maybe your landlord will reduce your rent due to the construction and reduced yard space???? Bob (and Al) might enjoy watching the crews work and you'll probably have lots of amusing comments from him to post for us :) God is SO good.
