This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

Sheri is grateful for a dear friend that took her for her oral surgery and then stayed with her during that first day and daughter number one ( the one who wears her heart on her sleeve) for trading off getting Bob and "Al" to daycare. Then daughter number one cooked Thanksgiving dinner by herself yesterday. She did a great job. Sheri has decided that if dentists told you ahead of time how bad the pain was going to be you might decide it would be wisest to leave  your wisdom teeth in your head :)

  1. I do hope you are feeling better and that you heal up fast. How wonderful to have a daughter who can cook Thanksgiving dinner. :)
