This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

Sheri is happy Bob can still enjoy his music, and that he has the coordination to keep time to the music. There is however a teensy weensy part of Sheri that wishes "Al" did not need to "enjoy" it all day every day, as you can see in the video it can get pretty intense :)
Simple Pleasures Sheri, simple pleasures

Psalm 47:1

To the choirmaster. A Psalm of the Sons of Korah. Clap your hands, all peoples! Shout to God with loud songs of joy!

  1. He seems so happy though, which is a testament to how well you are caring for him. Good work!

  2. This could have been filmed in my house. My husband is addicted to YouTube. 7 a.m. to bedtime. I finally got wireless earphones so I could watch TV while the clatter continues.
