This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

Sheri was so very happy to have her Father and her Brother with her for the wedding, the fact THAT THE MORNING OF THE WEDDING, she discovered her dear sweet cat (not today) had shredded the front of her dress beyond repair, did not rob her joy. Sheri without hesitation (well maybe a minutes worth) hastily cut off the attached over part of the dress and wore it over what they always say a girl should have ... a little black dress. :)

  1. I am glad that the wedding day was filled with wonderful memories. You look great in the little black dress :).
Your posts frequently point me to the woman of Proverbs 31. This post brought this verse to mind:
"She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come."
Thank you for being a source of great encouragement to me.
